Lag When Browsing Action Items

We’ve noticed the Newforma client lag when navigating through items in the Activity Centers. Mostly in action items. We decided to reboot the NPCS and it made things better. Before the reboot if you selected a different action item, in the 2-3 seconds it took to show the information below for the action item, Newforma would grey out and show “Not Responding” and suddenly come back with the info.

After rebooting the server the latency is now back to about .5-1.0 second. Is anybody else seeing this? The processor is at about 30% load, RAM usage is at 25% and the disks aren’t being hammered either. For now I’m going to schedule a weekly or perhaps monthly reboot but I was wondering if I was alone in this.

I haven’t seen this, but did you try restarting the NPCS service - perhaps a full server reboot isn’t required.

Just in case that anyone else was having this, 8th Edition is much better at this. We have definitely noticed a performance improvement after upgrading to 8th.
