This is a long shot, but does anyone know of an easy way to determine which files in a project are marked ‘do not index’?

We monitor our indexing statistics, and the these files are increasing steadily. We’d like to see if we can figure out what types of files they are and how they are getting flagged as ‘do not index.’

Another thing we’re curious about is whether or not the files actually have the do not index Windows property set, or if Newforma lists them as do not index because it can’t index them for some reason.

Thx-Sam

1. Go to the indexing tab in the admin activity center
2. Click the search query tab
3. Select the files by filter result query
4. Check all scopes
5. Check the “NotContentIndexed” result type
6. Click submit
All of the relevant files will appear in the list below and right-click options will allow for exporting the list, opening them in explorer, etc.

Awesome! Thx.

I now know that all the files marked do not index are ‘thumbs.db’ files.
