I don’t have an answer, but I am extremely interested in this particular situation.  My guess is that you would have the lead designer host the Info Exchange site for any items that you need site access for such as construction administration.  I think the only problem would be the extremely long filenames/paths of emails containing rfi’s or submittals exceeding the 80 character limit.  We had this issue before until Newforma shortened the automatic filenames, but it still comes up every once in a while.

We are working on a large, multi-discipline project with another architectural firm that also uses Newforma. Does anyone have experience with this or thoughts on how to set up our project(s) so we both can benefit from Newformas tools locally as well as in a shared environment?

Do we need to decide who will host the project and the other Newforma users will just use info Exchange to access? I am concerned about keeping track of correspondence that has “threads” at the end and how they might be filed on either of our local systems.

thanks. aimee
