Hi Peter,

Just to be clear, the external team member is responding to a submittal review by sending a file transfer that address multiple submittals through Info Exchange.  Are there multiple files that they are transferring for each submittal or is it one file for multiple submittals?

The way you can record a response and associate the files with the Submittal Reviewer Response is to select the transfer in the Info Exchange log, then select the Transferred Files > Extract to Folder task.  Then, go to Submittals and select the Record Reviewer Response task.  In that dialog, select the Associated Files tab then select the Add Files button and navigate to the extracted files to associate them with that submittal.

What is the best practice for filing submittal reviewer response packages recieved through NIX? When I recieve a file transfer through NIX it creates a zipped archive folder of the contents on our server and I can file it as a submittal reviewer response. If this transfer contains multiple submittal responses, is there a way to ‘re-recieve’ the transfer multiple times in order to associate each response with their respective submittal?

(e.g. - When a submittal package is recieved through email, I am able to ‘re-open’ the email in Outlook and file it multiple times in different locations.)

The only work around I have been able to come up with is creating a ‘dummy’ submittal reviewer response and then going into the archived folder and attaching the respective response as a supporting document.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
