I have an extremely frustrating issue:  I set up recurring client meetings (every Friday).  I typically add the agenda and meeting minutes to the event.  However, all of the sudden, when I open the meeting event for, say July 31 it shows the agenda and minutes for July 17.  Curious, I checked and ALL the Friday event backwards and forwards are showing the same July 17 agenda and minutes.  SO… I went to the July 31 event and deleted the July 17 files and added the agenda for July 31.  Guess what happened??  You guessed it, now ALL the Friday events now have only the July 31 agenda!

The more I dig into this program, the less useful (well, more “challenging”) I’m finding it.  Stuff like the above Just Shouldn’t Happen.

As you have discovered, all occurrences of the same recurring item are really the same item.  If you need them to contain different data you’ll need to make individual appointments.  We’ve entered a feature request to make this behavior more like Outlook, so that a new individual item can be created ‘automatically’ when a single instance is altered.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Dave,

Has this feature been included in NIX7?

Thank you

Unfortunately we didn’t get to this feature request in Seventh Edition.

That’s a shame.  Seems a fairly straightforward thing to accomodate that would greatly improve a very useful feature.

It seems like there is totally something wrong with the program itself. But you will need to tell us more detail about the scenario that you are currently facing. Did you upgrade your software recently? Or are there any changes that you have done to the software that you are currently using? If so, there might be something wrong with the new ones and should be reported immediately so that they could take action about.
