I understand that Newforma does not include a viewer for Rhino files.  This may shape up to be a significant problem for my project, as the architect has chosen Rhino as his preferred design platform.  Short of demanding he use Revit, would you have any suggestions on how it might be possible for me to use the Digital Lighttable or the markup features with his files?

Thank you,

Hello,

You are correct in that the Viewer does not directly support viewing Rhino files, however there are ways that you can use Newforma features with the product.  If Rhino can publish PDF files, you can use that file format to either markup or use the Digital Light table.  Another way to use the markup feature is to use the snap shot utility in the toolbar to take a snap shot of the model. The snap shot appears in the Viewer which can be saved as part of a markup session. This is very similar to how we work with Revit.  You can view the Snapshot Tool help topic for more information.
