We started a project using the 04 format for specifications. We are now receiving submittals but the specs were done in the 97 CSI format. How can I change the global list to log the submittal correctly using the 97 CSI format?

You can do this by adding a new Project Keyword list.  There are instructions on how to do this in the help.  Open the online help, select FAQs/How To.  Navigate to the topic: Create a New Global Keyword List and Assign It to a project.

If you produced specs for a job in 2004 Masterformat, contractor needs to submit in the same format. othewise the submittals are not coordinated to the specification sections. If you have a 06 10 00 spec, he can’t submit product under 06100…it doesn’t relate to anything. And some spec numbers were entirely changed. So your MEP stuff would be REALLY wrong.
