A question arose during our Submittal Webinar in January that I continue to get as I visit Newforma customers considering leveraging our Newforma Submittal activity center. How do/will eSubmittals impact your professional liability insurance? Has there been an impact on your insurance as a result of you moving towards eSubmittals?

We have not seen an impact on our professional liability insurance as a result of our electronic submittals. Sorry I cant provide a juicier answer.

We EXPECT to see a reduction in the cost of our insurance; we renewed several months ago for a year’s term, so we will be meeting with our insurance rep later in 2008 to demonstrate our eSubmittal process and how it decreases our exposure.

Can you elaborate a little on where you think it will decrease your liability. We are just getting into the e-submittals and I am curious to hear the expreiences of others.
