most of our external/internal users get overwhelmed when they see an info exchange file transfer notification and see all the listed attached files. (Transferred Files). Our internal users end up sending a zip which gets sent out as a zip within a zip just to avoid that gigantic list and just have one thing listed in the transferred files section.

is there anyway to change this so that the transferred files list show the folder name instead?

In theory this would help the PM stay on top of what’s happening with the project. It would need to be on/off selectable. I don’t know if they were thinking per project or per the PM contact record.

How about an app for the idea that allows me to enter a field report on a job. It would also allow me to attach photos from the iPad or attached iPhone into the report. It would have fields that cover all the usual stuff like weather conditions, trades or subs on the job as a check list, people spoken with, issues discussed, number of people on the job, overall progress, etc. You could open the app, and select the job from a drop down list. It would also allow you to copy internal or external team members on the report. Once finished the app could either drop the field report onto the office newforma server via a web portal or since it is not a report that you would need to edit later it could just drop the report down to a formatted email that gets emailed into the newforma server and logged into the job. At the same time it would launch info exchange to send out a copy of that field report to who ever on the team that was copied such as the job Superintendant, owners rep, etc.

We will be better off if we could specify another unit than Inches for the scale of a metric file. Most of our Government projects are expressed in Metric Units.
Each time we want to create a markup sessions of files (DWF most of the time) we have to use our calculator to make the transition between inches and centimeters and actually it doesnt work at all when we tranlate the info within the Results box…
Please allow us to specify a unit of our choice (I understand that inches is your default; it should be transparent from the end-user side!)

Thansk for listening.
