Part 13 of Newforma’s webinar series on how project information management (PIM) software supports integrated project delivery

Because a project requires input from so many different team members, a wealth of knowledge and experience is created by every different project team. How can you capture and share lessons that others can put to work on their next project?

Join us to explore how software for project information management lays the foundation for the strategic deployment of the knowledge gained through your firm’s experience.

  • Learn how common means of managing project information fall short of supporting knowledge management.

  • See how project information management software performs the first, vital task of knowledge management, information capture.

  • Discover how slashing the energy required to organize and find information raises the value of that information.

  • Understand the difference between information disasters and knowledge disasters – and how to prevent them, or, if the worst happens, mitigate them.

There is no charge to attend this webinar.

Presented by:

  • Newforma Vice President Bob Batcheler

  • Knowledge Architecture Founder Christopher Parsons

About our webinar series, "Project information management (PIM) for integrated project delivery (IPD)"

BIM technology is a well-acknowledged pillar of integrated practice for coordinating and documenting the building design. But what about all the unstructured project communications and adjunct decision-making processes that surround the model as it evolves over the duration of the project?

PIM technology is the complementary solution to BIM. It manages the information and communications around the model. It supports collaboration, accountability and trust - both inside the firm and between external team members.

"PIM and knowledge management" draws upon Newforma’s experience helping customers manage information and communications for over hundreds of thousands of projects. It was held Friday, February 19, 2010.
